FXB-A09004 Hall Effect Ignition System Training Panel

Logo FXB Co. Ltd

Reference : FXB-A09004 Hall Effect Ignition System Training Panel

Reference Vehicle Model: Volkswagen Jetta

The FXB-A09004 training panel is designed to demonstrate and study the operation of an automotive ignition system using a Hall effect sensor. Equipped with real, functional components, it enables learners to analyze the ignition circuit, understand the roles of the distributor and ignition module, perform electrical measurements and practise fault diagnosis. It is suitable for technical education institutions, vocational training centres and automotive maintenance laboratories.

Training Configuration

  • Ignition distributor equipped with a Hall effect sensor.
  • Ignition coil.
  • Electronic ignition module.
  • High-voltage ignition leads.
  • Four spark plugs.
  • Rotary drive mechanism.
  • Ignition timing variation demonstration using a stroboscopic timing light.
  • Fault simulation and diagnostic functions.

The FXB-A09004 training panel is designed to demonstrate the structure, operation and control principles of an automotive Hall effect ignition system. Based on a Volkswagen Jetta reference configuration, this educational equipment uses real components to support theoretical instruction and practical training in internal combustion engine ignition systems.

With its functional components, explanatory electrical diagrams and integrated measurement terminals, the panel enables learners to understand the role of the Hall effect sensor in detecting engine position and rotation, as well as its interaction with the ignition module and ignition coil. It also supports the development of electrical testing and diagnostic skills in a suitable training environment.

Main Features

1. Functional Hall Effect Ignition System

The panel incorporates a distributor equipped with a Hall effect sensor, an ignition coil, an ignition module, high-voltage ignition leads and four spark plugs. This configuration allows learners to study engine-position detection, ignition control and the distribution of high voltage to the spark plugs.

2. Training Panel with Educational Diagrams

The front panel is constructed using an aluminium-composite board with a specified minimum thickness of 4 mm. Its design is intended to provide suitable resistance for regular laboratory use, including resistance to impact, corrosion, moisture and dirt.

Electrical circuit diagrams and operating-principle illustrations are provided to facilitate component identification, understanding of circuit connections and analysis of the ignition system. A protective finish helps preserve the legibility of the educational information.

3. Measurement Terminals and Electrical Analysis

Test terminals provide access to circuit measurement points for electrical signal analysis and relevant testing. Depending on the available measurement points, learners can examine parameters such as voltage, current, resistance and frequency using appropriate measuring instruments.

4. Rotary Drive and Ignition Timing Analysis

A rotary drive mechanism enables movement of the mechanism associated with the distributor. Ignition timing variations can be observed using a stroboscopic timing light, facilitating the study of ignition synchronization and system behaviour during practical demonstrations.

5. Integrated Power Supply

The equipment operates from a 220 Vac, 50 Hz mains supply, with a voltage tolerance of ±10%. An internal circuit converts the input voltage to a 12 Vdc operating voltage, eliminating the need for an external battery that requires recharging. Short-circuit protection is specified for the power supply circuit.

6. Fault Simulation and Training Assessment

The panel is equipped with a fault-setting and assessment system. Instructors can introduce simulated faults, allowing learners to practise identifying anomalies, investigating their causes and diagnosing the ignition system. These exercises help develop practical automotive maintenance skills.
