- NT-A0060 Los Angeles Abrasion and Fragmentation Testing Machine for Aggregates
The Los Angeles abrasion machine is a fundamental device used to evaluate the resistance of aggregates to wear and fragmentation. It is designed to comply with major international standards for material durability testing.
The unit can be easily configured to meet ASTM and EN standards, with adjustable settings for the required number of rotations.
The device consists of a cylindrical steel drum with an inner diameter of 711 mm and an internal length of 508 mm, coupled with an electronic control unit. The drum operates at a speed of 31–33 rpm. The equipment features an automatic counter that stops the machine once the preset number of cycles has been completed. A collection tray is included for easy sample removal.
In accordance with EN standards, the abrasive ball set and the 1.6 mm sieve must be ordered separately. For AASHTO and ASTM standards, the abrasive ball set and the 1.7 mm mesh sieve must also be ordered separately.
