Logo FXB Co. Ltd

Reference : FXB-A09002 Pencil Coil Ignition System Training Panel

Reference Vehicle Model: Volkswagen Passat

The FXB-A09002 training panel is designed to demonstrate the operation of an automotive pencil-coil ignition system using real components. Suitable for theoretical instruction and practical training, it helps learners study system architecture, analyze electrical signals, examine ignition timing and develop fault-diagnosis skills.

Training Configuration

  • Functional ignition system using genuine pencil-type ignition coils.
  • Individual pencil-coil ignition system.
  • Ignition and starter switch.
  • Adjustable rotary drive mechanism.
  • Top Dead Centre (TDC) sensor.
  • Variable ignition timing demonstration using a stroboscopic timing light.
  • Fault-diagnosis functions.

Product Description

The FXB-A09002 training panel is designed for automotive technology education and practical maintenance training. Based on the pencil-coil ignition system of a Volkswagen Passat reference vehicle, it enables learners to understand the structure, operation and control principles of an engine ignition system.

By incorporating real, functional components, the equipment supports hands-on learning through observation, practical exercises and electrical measurements. It is suitable for technical schools, vocational training centres, specialized institutes and automotive maintenance training facilities.

Main Features

1. Real and Functional Ignition System

The panel incorporates a functional pencil-coil ignition system to demonstrate the different stages of its operation. Learners can observe the components and analyze ignition control principles under suitable training conditions.

2. Training Panel with Educational Diagrams

The panel is constructed using an aluminium-composite board with a specified minimum thickness of 4 mm. The material is designed to provide resistance to corrosion, impact, moisture and dirt, as well as fire resistance according to the properties of the material used.

The panel surface features electrical circuit diagrams and operating-principle illustrations to help learners identify components, understand circuit connections and analyze system operation. A protective finish helps preserve the legibility of the educational information.

3. Electrical Measurement and Analysis Terminals

Test terminals are integrated into the panel to facilitate the measurement and analysis of electrical signals within the ignition system. Depending on the available test points, learners can examine parameters such as voltage, current, resistance and frequency using appropriate measuring instruments.

4. Robust and Mobile Structure

The training panel is mounted on a steel frame with a painted finish. Castors allow the equipment to be moved and positioned conveniently in a laboratory or training room.

5. Integrated Power Supply

The equipment operates from a 220 Vac mains supply. An internal circuit converts the input voltage to a 12 Vdc operating voltage, eliminating the need for an external battery that requires recharging. The power supply incorporates short-circuit protection according to the manufacturer's configuration.

6. Fault Simulation and Training Assessment

The panel is equipped with an intelligent fault-setting and assessment system. Instructors can introduce simulated faults, while learners practise fault identification, troubleshooting and diagnosis. The system also supports the assessment of learners' practical skills.
