FXB-XXH054 Automotive Multiplex Network and Diagnostics Training Bench

1. Product Overview

The FXB-XXH054 training bench is designed for studying multiplex communication networks and electronic systems used in modern vehicles. It enables trainees to understand network architecture, electronic control unit operation, and diagnostic procedures for faults affecting data communication.

The bench reproduces an educational environment incorporating electronic modules that simulate automotive control units, CAN and LIN communication networks, and an OBD-II diagnostic interface. FlexRay network support may be available as an optional feature, depending on the selected configuration.

2. Features and Functions

2.1. Electronic Control Unit Simulation Modules

The equipment incorporates electronic modules representing major automotive onboard system functions, including:

  • Engine management;
  • Body systems management and associated control functions;
  • Lighting control;
  • Comfort system management.

These modules allow trainees to study data exchange between electronic control units and understand their roles within the vehicle's electronic architecture.

2.2. Multiplex Communication Networks

The training bench supports the study of the main communication protocols used in automotive electronic systems:

  • High-speed CAN: Study of data exchange between control units requiring high-speed communication;
  • Low-speed CAN: Study of networks used for compatible body systems and onboard equipment;
  • LIN: Study of communication between control units and auxiliary electronic devices.

FlexRay network support may be available as an optional feature, depending on the bench configuration.

2.3. OBD-II Diagnostic Interface

The bench is equipped with OBD-II diagnostic connectors for connection to a compatible diagnostic tool. This interface supports practical exercises in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting faults in the simulated electronic systems, subject to the functions supported by the equipment.

2.4. Educational Network Schematic

A display panel features a durable, color-coded schematic of the communication network architecture. It enables trainees to identify the various control units, communication lines, and main interconnections, facilitating an understanding of multiplex network operation.

2.5. Measurement and Analysis Terminals

Measurement terminals are provided for connecting external instruments, including multimeters and oscilloscopes. These terminals allow trainees to observe network electrical signals and perform measurements required for communication analysis and fault diagnosis.

2.6. Fault Simulation

The training bench incorporates a fault simulation system capable of reproducing various communication and operational faults, including:

  • Open circuits;
  • Short circuits;
  • Simulated faults at electronic control unit level.

These functions help trainees develop practical skills in fault finding, network analysis, and automotive electronic diagnostics.

3. Educational Functions
