NT-S2000 Series – Liquid Limit Device (Casagrande)

Noustest Testing Equipement

References :

NT-S2020 – Manual Liquid Limit Device

Manual mechanical model equipped with a counter for registering the number of cup blows.

NT-S2120 – Motorized Liquid Limit Device

Motorized model designed to provide a uniform operating speed and improved test repeatability.

NT-S2125 – ASTM Metal Grooving Tool

Metal grooving tool designed for soil sample preparation for liquid limit testing in accordance with the applicable ASTM requirements.

The Liquid Limit Device is used to determine the moisture content at which a clay soil changes from a plastic state to a liquid state. The liquid limit is defined as the moisture content at which the two parts of a soil sample, separated by a standardized groove, come together over a specified distance after 25 blows of the cup, following a standardized testing procedure.

The NT-S2000 Series includes manual and motorized liquid limit devices designed for soil characterization testing in laboratories. The equipment is engineered to provide reliable and repeatable test results while complying with the requirements of major international standards.

Main Features

  • Removable brass cup.
  • Cup height adjustment system.
  • Mechanical blow counter.
  • Metal grooving tool.
  • Hard plastic base compliant with applicable standards.
  • Designed for liquid limit determination testing of soils.

NT-CE5880 – Laboratory Mortar Mixer, 5-Litre

Noustest Testing Equipement

References :

  • NT-CE5880A – Automatic cement mixer, 5-litre capacity, ASTM version.
  • NT-CE5880E – Automatic cement mixer, 5-litre capacity, EN version.
  • NT-CE5885A – Manual cement mixer, 5-litre capacity, ASTM version.
  • NT-CE5885E – Manual cement mixer, 5-litre capacity, EN version.

The NT-CE5880 is a laboratory mortar mixer designed for the preparation and mixing of cement and mortar for laboratory testing, quality control, research, and development applications. Developed to meet high standards of quality, reliability, and repeatability, the mixer complies with applicable international standards and is suitable for a wide range of construction-material testing applications.

Operating Principle

The mixer features a planetary mixing mechanism, in which the mixing paddle rotates around its own axis while simultaneously orbiting around the mixing bowl. This combined movement provides efficient and homogeneous mixing of the materials.

The bidirectional mixing action ensures optimum mixture homogeneity and excellent test repeatability, making the equipment particularly suitable for standardized laboratory testing.

Key Features

Programmable Mixing Cycles

The microprocessor-based control system allows users to select and program different mixing cycles according to the requirements of the following standards:

  • TS EN 196-1
  • TS EN 196-3
  • ASTM C305

This programming capability enables standardized testing with precise and repeatable mixing parameters.
