The FXB-A12003 is a training panel designed to demonstrate the starting and charging systems of Volkswagen vehicles, based on the Volkswagen Magotan architecture. It enables trainees to understand the operating principles of the starter motor, alternator, and 12 V battery while performing electrical measurements and practical diagnostic exercises. Equipped with test terminals and a wireless fault simulation and assessment system, it is suitable for technical education and vocational training in automotive maintenance.

Training Applications

The FXB-A12003 training panel is suitable for vocational training centers, technical institutes, and educational establishments specializing in automotive maintenance. It supports practical training in the following areas:

  • Studying the architecture and operation of automotive starting systems;
  • Understanding battery charging system operation;
  • Performing electrical measurements on circuits and components;
  • Practicing electrical fault diagnosis;
  • Developing automotive maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

1. Product Overview

The FXB-A12003 training panel is designed around the starting and charging system of the Volkswagen Magotan. It enables trainees to study component construction, understand system operating principles, and analyze the associated electrical circuits.

By integrating real automotive components, electrical diagrams, and measurement terminals, this training equipment facilitates practical learning of starter motor, alternator, and battery operation.

2. Features and Functions

2.1. Real Automotive Components

The panel incorporates original components from the reference vehicle, allowing trainees to examine the main elements of the starting and charging systems in a practical training environment.

2.2. Starting System Demonstration

Operating the ignition switch activates the starter motor. An integrated ammeter and voltmeter allow trainees to observe the changes in starting current and battery voltage during the starting process.

2.3. Charging System Demonstration

The panel demonstrates the operating principle of the vehicle charging system. Operating the switch activates a three-phase electric motor, which drives the alternator to charge the 12 V battery. Under the intended operating conditions, the charging indicator lamp switches off while the battery voltage increases.

An integrated ammeter and voltmeter allow trainees to measure and observe the charging current and battery voltage.

2.4. Electrical Power Supply

A 12 V battery supplies electrical power to the panel during practical training exercises.

2.5. Integrated Training Diagrams

The panel is constructed from an aluminum-plastic composite board featuring color-coded electrical circuit diagrams and operating principle diagrams. These visual aids help trainees relate theoretical diagrams to actual components and analyze system operation.

2.6. Measurement and Test Terminals

Test terminals are provided for checking electrical signals and performing measurements on circuit components, including:

  • Voltage;
  • Current;
  • Electrical resistance;
  • Signal frequency.

2.7. Fault Simulation and Skills Assessment

The equipment is fitted with a wireless fault simulation and assessment system. Instructors can configure faults using a tablet computer and ask trainees to detect, locate, and identify the causes of the faults.

This functionality supports the assessment of trainees' knowledge and helps develop practical skills in automotive electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.

2.8. Mobility and Stability

The training panel is mounted on lockable casters, allowing it to be moved conveniently and secured in position during training sessions.

2.9. Training Documentation

An operation manual is supplied with the equipment. It includes the following information:

  • Equipment overview;
  • Explanation of operating principles;
  • Operating procedures;
  • Fault configuration procedures;
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures.
