FXB-I14009 Automotive Wiper System Training Panel

Logo FXB Co. Ltd

Reference : FXB-I14009

The FXB-I14009 training panel is designed for studying and demonstrating the operation of automotive windshield wiper and washer systems. Based on a Volkswagen vehicle system, it enables learners to operate the main wiping modes, including intermittent, low-speed, and high-speed wiping, as well as the windshield washing function. Equipped with electrical test points and an intelligent fault simulation system, it is a suitable educational solution for technical education institutions, vocational training centers, and automotive maintenance laboratories.

Educational Applications

The FXB-I14009 training panel is particularly suitable for training courses covering:

  • Automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Windshield wiper and washer systems.
  • Rain sensors and multifunction control switches.
  • Automotive electrical control circuits and actuators.
  • Electrical measurement, diagnostics, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Practical automotive maintenance training.

1. General Overview

The FXB-I14009 training panel is designed to demonstrate the structure, operation, and control principles of automotive windshield wiper and washer systems. Based on a Volkswagen Magotan system, it enables learners to study the different system components and observe their operation under controlled training conditions.

This training bench is intended for theoretical and practical instruction in automotive electrical systems, control circuit diagnostics, and maintenance procedures. It is suitable for secondary and higher technical education institutions, vocational training centers, and organizations specializing in automotive training.

2. Educational and Functional Features

2.1. Functional Wiper System

The training bench incorporates an operational windshield wiper system that allows learners to study the mechanism, control circuits, and operating principles of the windshield wiping system.

2.2. Operating Modes

The system allows the windshield wipers to be operated in different modes, reproducing the main operating conditions of a vehicle, including:

  • Intermittent wiping.
  • Low-speed wiping.
  • High-speed wiping.
  • Windshield washing function.

These functions enable learners to observe operating sequences, analyze electrical controls, and understand the interactions between the various system components.

2.3. Training Panel and Explanatory Diagrams

The training panel is manufactured from aluminium-plastic composite material with a minimum thickness of 4 mm. It is designed to provide resistance to corrosion, impact, dirt, moisture, and fire.

The panel surface receives a special treatment and primer coating. Electrical circuit diagrams and operating principle diagrams are provided to facilitate component identification, circuit tracing, and understanding of the system's operating principles. A transparent finishing coating protects the diagrams and helps preserve their readability.

2.4. Electrical Measurement and Testing

The training bench is equipped with accessible test terminals for measuring and analyzing electrical quantities in the wiper and washer circuits and their components, including:

  • Voltage.
  • Current.
  • Electrical resistance.
  • Signal frequency.

These test points support practical exercises in electrical testing, circuit analysis, and fault diagnosis.

2.5. Fault Simulation and Assessment

The training bench incorporates an intelligent fault simulation and assessment system that enables instructors to configure faults, conduct troubleshooting exercises, and assess learners' diagnostic and fault-finding skills relating to the windshield wiper system.

2.6. Mobile Frame and Work Surface

The training bench is mounted on a steel frame with a painted finish. It is equipped with wheels to facilitate movement between classrooms, workshops, and training laboratories.

An auxiliary work surface of approximately 40 cm² is integrated into the frame to accommodate documents, accessories, and small measuring instruments.

2.7. Electrical Power Supply and Protection

The training bench operates from a 220 Vac mains supply. An internal circuit converts this voltage to 12 Vdc to power the automotive system under study. This configuration eliminates the need for rechargeable batteries and incorporates short-circuit protection for the low-voltage power circuit.

3. Standard Configuration

The training bench is equipped with the following components:

  • Windshield wiper switch.
  • Rain sensor.
  • Ignition and starting switch.
  • Fault simulation system.
  • Steering column multifunction switch.
  • Windshield washer pump.
