Description

The GW Instek GBM-3000 desktop battery tester uses a 1 kHz AC signal to measure battery voltage and internal resistance up to 1000V (GBM-3100H), 300V (GBM-3300), or 80V (GBM-3080). It features a 3.5" TFT display, high-resolution measurements, 4-wire method, and independent GO/NOGO determination for voltage and resistance.

With an accuracy of ±0.01% for voltage and ±0.5% for resistance, and resolutions up to 10 μV and 0.1 μΩ, the GBM-3000 is ideal for single-cell testing and sorting, ensuring optimal balance for series and parallel connections.

For easy interpretation, the tester offers HI/LO indication based on voltage and resistance, and a simple large-digit mode for clear, fast readings.

The GBM-3000 also provides advanced features for reliability and convenience: probe contact detection, data storage of up to 10,000 measurements (general or statistical), USB or RS-232C data transfer, and Handler interface for external PLC control.

A. Two Display Modes

The GBM-3000 series offers two display modes to maximize usability:

• Standard Mode: Simultaneously displays main measurement parameters (three combinations: R+V / R / V) along with associated settings. Ideal for R&D design and engineering certification.
• Simple Mode: Shows only the main results in large digits for clear visibility, perfect for production testing.

B. Independent GO/NOGO Determination

Voltage and resistance measurements feature independent HI/LO determination settings. Users can choose the mode (SEQ, PER, or ABS). Final results are displayed along with individual measurement parameters, enabling quick follow-up actions.

C. Excellent Supplementary Measurement Capability

Beyond high accuracy, the GBM-3000 supports production line monitoring:

• Automatic detection of probe disconnection or poor contact, clearly displayed on-screen.
• Data storage for up to 10,000 measurements with built-in statistical calculation to monitor production in real time.
• Easy transfer of results to a computer via USB flash drive for long-term storage and analysis.

D. Comprehensive Standard Interfaces

The GBM-3000 is equipped with practical standard interfaces: RS-232C, USB device, and Handler. These allow result collection, remote program control, or integration into automated systems with external PLC-triggered measurement.
