The GW Instek GPT-9600 series offers economical safety testers providing an affordable solution for routine testing in compliance with major safety standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB, JIS, and other regulations.
The GPT-9600 series delivers a maximum AC output of 100VA. The GPT-9603 is a 3-in-1 model capable of AC, DC, and insulation resistance tests. The GPT-9612 performs AC and insulation resistance tests, the GPT-9602 handles AC and DC tests, and the GPT-9601 supports AC tests only. The high-efficiency PWM amplifier ensures stable output regardless of AC input fluctuations.
Designed for simplicity and intuitive operation, the GPT-9600 series features a clear panel layout, large LCD display, and color LED indicators. Its universal switching power supply accommodates most countries’ power systems. Pre-test output voltage preview ensures accurate setup. Models with insulation resistance testing include an AUTO mode to optimize test sequences and reduce overall testing time.
Other features include zero-crossing turn-on to protect DUT from surge voltage, interlock for user safety, and remote control ports for external start/stop operation.
High Efficiency and Stable Output
The GPT-9600 Series features a high-efficiency PWM amplifier design, delivering up to 98% output efficiency. This significantly reduces energy loss due to heat dissipation, lowering internal cabinet temperature. Limiting temperature rise during heavy-duty operation enhances tester reliability and extends service life.
Simple AUTO Mode
For models equipped with the Insulation Resistance test function, a simplified AUTO mode (W-I or I-W) allows two tests to run sequentially. The first test can be a withstand voltage test followed by an insulation resistance test, or vice versa, eliminating the need to press the START button twice for two separate tests.
User-Friendly Interface
The 240 x 48 display shows applied voltage, test parameters and conditions, measured values, and results simultaneously. Real-time status updates on the LCD, along with multi-colored LED indicators on the front panel, provide full control of the testing process, enabling precise measurements while minimizing operational risks. The status indicator above the high-voltage output terminal flashes automatically when output is active. Function keys below the LCD allow easy adjustment of test settings with a single press.
Universal Input Voltage Support
The GPT-9600 Series supports a universal input voltage range, enabling operation in countries with different electrical standards. Selectable 50 Hz or 60 Hz ensures stable and appropriate test voltages, independent of local power conditions, meeting strict testing requirements.
