The LCR-8200(A) series from GW Instek is a new generation of high-frequency LCR meters. The series includes five models with a maximum test frequency of up to 50 MHz.
All models feature a 7-inch color display and provide a high measurement accuracy of 0.08%.
Measurement results can be displayed in numeric or graphical formats, allowing users to easily interpret the characteristics of the DUT (Device Under Test).
The instruments also provide multiple standard interfaces including USB Device, RS-232C, Handler and GPIB, allowing users to control the instrument using their preferred interface without additional hardware investment.
In graphical mode, measured curves and data values can be stored directly on a USB flash drive for further analysis. The wide range of functions makes the LCR-8200(A) series ideal for passive component testing in R&D, engineering and production.
Flexible Measurement Combinations

The LCR-8200(A) series allows users to freely select and arrange measurement parameters. Up to four parameters can be displayed simultaneously from 17 available measurement parameters.
Configurations can be saved in internal or external memory groups for quick recall.
Independent Judgment Settings

Each measurement parameter can independently set comparison criteria such as value, difference value or percentage difference.
Results can also be displayed using these comparison modes to better match practical measurement requirements.
- Green : within limit
- Red : out of limit
This color-coded display allows quick evaluation even in noisy environments.
LIST Measurement Mode

The 15-point LIST measurement function allows measurements at different frequencies or voltages with independent judgment settings for each point.
When trigger mode is set to AUTO, the instrument detects the fixture contact status and automatically starts the test when the DUT is connected.
Dual-Curve Sweep Mode

Up to two DUT parameters can be swept simultaneously. Users can configure:
- Sweep type (frequency / AC voltage / AC current)
- Axis scale (logarithmic or linear)
- Sweep speed
- Internal DC bias
After the sweep, a movable cursor can be used to read precise values at any position on the curve.
Sweep curves and point data can be saved to a USB flash drive for further analysis.
BIN Sorting Function

The BIN function allows classification of components using a selected measurement parameter with up to 9 BIN categories.
Sorting methods include:
- EQUAL
- SEQUENTIAL
- TOLERANCE
- RANDOM
Sorting results can be output through the Handler interface to control an automatic sorting system.
Equivalent Circuit Model Analysis

Available on the LCR-8200A, this function provides analysis using seven equivalent circuit models.
The instrument automatically calculates component parameters and generates a simulation curve to compare theoretical behavior with the measured curve.
Resonant frequency (SRF) and quality factor (Qm) can also be displayed simultaneously.
