Six-in-One High-Precision SMU – Reduce Your Test Costs
Performing I–V measurements using conventional instruments—such as separate voltage and current sources, pulse generators, and high-precision meters—is complex, space-consuming, and costly. It requires valuable bench space and demands precise synchronization and programming of multiple instruments to achieve accurate results.
The IT2800 Series SMU provides an economical and efficient alternative. In a compact ½-width 2U form factor, it integrates advanced sourcing and measurement capabilities into a single instrument capable of precisely generating and measuring both voltage and current.
The IT2800 combines the functionality of six instruments in one:
- 4-quadrant voltage source
- Current source
- 6½-digit digital multimeter
- Pulse generator
- Battery simulator
- Electronic load
This integrated design significantly reduces system complexity, lowers equipment costs, and improves overall test efficiency.

Intuitive Graphical Interface – Fast Access to Key Features
The IT2800 is designed for speed, usability, and operational efficiency. Its front panel includes:
- 5-inch color LCD touchscreen
- USB 2.0 memory I/O port
- Rotary navigation knob
- Dedicated trigger button
- Function keys
- Standard banana jack terminals
The USB port supports convenient data storage, test configuration import/export, and system upgrades.
The IT2800 Series supports both graphical and numerical result display modes. The intuitive Graph View, Scope View, and Record View dramatically improve productivity in benchtop testing and I–V characteristic analysis, allowing engineers to visualize results in real time.

Standard and LIST Sweep Capabilities
The IT2800 Series supports both standard sweep and LIST sweep modes for flexible device characterization.
Standard Sweep Mode
- Linear and logarithmic sweep options
- Single and double sweep functions
- Constant and pulsed sweep operation
LIST Sweep Mode
The LIST sweep function enables efficient arbitrary waveform generation, particularly useful when device response varies significantly with applied voltage or current.
Users can generate custom sweep curves via Excel import or front-panel editing. Up to 99,999 data points can be imported, making it an ideal solution for detailed U–I and I–U characteristic testing.

Professional Battery Simulator Function
Leveraging its true 4-quadrant architecture, the IT2800 Series goes beyond traditional SMU capabilities by integrating a professional battery simulation function.
Engineers can study the impact of battery characteristics on DUT power consumption and performance reliability with high precision.
Battery curves can be quickly generated by:
- Customizing SOC–VOC–R parameters
- Setting conventional battery parameters
The initial battery State of Charge (SOC) can be set arbitrarily—without waiting for physical charging or discharging as required with real batteries—greatly improving R&D and production testing efficiency.
