The AFG-2100 / AFG-2000 Series is a range of DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) based arbitrary function generators designed to meet the needs of educational and industrial environments. It provides a precise, stable, and cost-effective signal source capable of generating sine, square, triangle, noise, and arbitrary waveforms.
With a frequency range from 0.1 Hz up to 5 / 12 / 25 MHz, 0.1 Hz resolution, 20 MSa/s sampling rate, 10-bit vertical resolution, and 4k-point waveform memory, the series offers high flexibility for custom waveform generation.
The built-in arbitrary waveform capability allows users to create custom signals using a 4k-point memory. Waveforms can be generated directly from the front panel or designed using PC software and downloaded via USB.
The digital keypad and rotary control ensure high accuracy and ease of use. The 3.5-inch LCD displays waveform parameters such as amplitude, DC offset, frequency, and waveform type simultaneously.
Unlike conventional generators, this series provides a wide duty cycle adjustment from 1% to 99% for square waves, enabling pulse signal generation and transient simulations.
Advanced models include AM, FM, and FSK modulation for analog and digital circuit testing. The sweep function supports frequency response analysis, and the built-in counter measures external signals up to 150 MHz.
The USB interface enables remote control and integration into automated test systems. The included software supports waveform creation such as Gaussian, Rayleigh, Manchester, NRZ, and allows CSV import.
