The LCR-6000 series is a compact precision LCR meter designed for a wide range of applications involving passive components. It is ideal for research and development, engineering testing, incoming inspection, component production, and sorting operations.

The LCR-6000 provides test frequencies up to 2 kHz / 20 kHz / 100 kHz / 200 kHz / 300 kHz, depending on the model, with a basic accuracy of up to 0.05%. The series includes five models to meet different precision measurement requirements.

Equipped with a 3.5-inch color LCD, the instrument offers comprehensive parameter display. In addition to the primary and secondary measurement parameters, two monitoring parameters can be displayed simultaneously. This allows up to four DUT-related parameters to be viewed at the same time, significantly improving measurement efficiency.

The enlarged display mode emphasizes measurement results and includes a PASS / FAIL judgment function, enabling quick and convenient verification of test results.

The LCR-6000 series also offers two zero compensation methods: full frequency range and spot frequency. Users can change the test frequency without powering off the instrument or replacing the test fixture, saving valuable time during repetitive measurements.

With its compact design, advanced measurement capabilities, and versatile display modes, the LCR-6000 series provides an excellent cost-performance solution for R&D laboratories, engineering departments, component production lines, and quality control (IQC).

Consecutive Frequency and Convenient Zero Function

GW Instek LCR-6000 Series -Consecutive-and-adjustable-Frequency GW Instek LCR-6000 Series -Zeroing-method

The LCR-6000 series features a consecutive and adjustable frequency capability within the specified frequency range. This allows users to perform measurements and analysis using the most appropriate frequency for component evaluation.

For OPEN/SHORT compensation, two methods are available: full frequency range zero and spot zero. After performing full frequency range zero calibration, users can change the test frequency without turning off the instrument or changing the test fixture, significantly reducing the time required for repeated calibration.

Rich and Diverse Information Display

The measurement display shows primary and secondary parameters as well as two monitoring parameters. Up to four DUT-related parameters can be displayed simultaneously, reducing the need for repeated measurements.

The instrument also provides different display modes to suit various observation requirements. For example:

  • MEAS Mode: displays measurement results and test settings simultaneously
  • ENLARGE Mode: focuses on measurement results and includes PASS / FAIL judgment

These display options help engineers quickly determine the validity of measurement results.

Auxiliary Measurement Functions

To meet diverse measurement requirements for different components and materials, the LCR-6000 series integrates several auxiliary functions.

  • Auto Level Control (ALC): maintains constant test voltage, especially useful for components such as MLCC capacitors.
  • Internal DC Bias Voltage (±2.5 V): allows simultaneous AC and DC conditions to analyze capacitance variation.
  • DCR Measurement: verifies the DC resistance characteristics of inductors.
  • LCZ Function: automatically identifies the characteristics of the DUT and displays the optimal parameters.

10-Point Listed Tests and PC Software

The LCR-6000 series provides a 10-point list test function that allows users to define multiple measurement conditions for a DUT, such as Cs-Rs, and test them under different frequencies, voltages, or currents.

Measurement results can be stored in the instrument’s internal memory and transferred to a PC via USB. Free PC software is also available, supporting up to 1,000 list test points for detailed analysis of component variations.

Standard Interfaces

GW Instek LCR-6000 Series -Interface

For connectivity, the LCR-6000 series includes Handler, RS-232C, and USB Device interfaces.

  • Handler Interface: outputs 10 BIN sorting results (9 BIN + 1 AUX), suitable for automatic sorting machines.
  • RS-232C / USB Device: enables remote control and retrieval of measurement results from a PC.

These interfaces allow external systems to control instrument settings and read measurement data, supporting automated test environments and automotive verification applications.
