Bandwidth: 9 kHz ~ 1,8 GHz

The GSP-8000 Series spectrum analyzers are available in three frequency ranges: 8.0 GHz, 3.8 GHz, and 1.8 GHz. Designed for education, research, and RF product testing, they provide a reliable and cost-effective solution for both development and production environments.

The series features a resolution bandwidth (RBW) from 1 Hz to 1 MHz and a video bandwidth (VBW) from 10 Hz to 3 MHz, both selectable in a 1-3-5-10 sequence. With phase noise of –104 dBc/Hz, a built-in 20 dB preamplifier, and a typical displayed average noise level of –160 dBm/Hz, the GSP-8000 ensures precise and stable signal analysis.

Comprehensive Measurement Capabilities

The GSP-8000 Series integrates advanced measurement and analysis functions, including:

  • Time Spectrum (Time Spec): Simultaneous visualization of power, frequency, and time to monitor signal variations dynamically.
  • AM/FM Demodulation: Measurement of modulation depth (AM), frequency deviation (FM), THD, SINAD, and audio output of demodulated signals.
  • Channel Measurements:
    • ACPR (Adjacent Channel Power Ratio) – Supports up to three adjacent channel groups
    • OCBW (Occupied Bandwidth) – Displays occupied bandwidth, channel power, and power spectral density
    • CHPW (Channel Power) – Measures power within a user-defined channel
  • Pass/Fail Function: Determines whether a signal complies with predefined limits.
  • Limit Line & Window Measurements: Enables automated compliance verification.

Advanced Trace and Marker Functions

The GSP-8000 Series provides five color-coded traces and multiple detector modes, including Positive Peak, Negative Peak, Sample, Normal, Voltage Average, RMS Average, and Quasi-Peak (EMI option required).

Up to eight markers can be displayed simultaneously and assigned to different traces. Additional marker-based functions include:

  • n-dB Bandwidth Measurement
  • Noise Marker: Converts marker readings to absolute power in dBm/Hz at 1 Hz RBW
  • Frequency Counter: Adjustable resolution down to 1 Hz

Peak Search functionality supports both maximum and minimum peak detection.

High-Resolution Display and Connectivity

The analyzer is equipped with a 10.4-inch TFT LCD display with XGA resolution (1024 × 768), ensuring clear and detailed waveform visualization.

For connectivity, the GSP-8000 provides USB Host, USB Device, and LAN interfaces. Users can quickly retrieve stored data via USB or remotely control the instrument through dedicated PC software. The software supports span, amplitude, bandwidth settings, trace Max/Min, detector selection, and peak control.

An integrated Help function assists users in understanding front-panel keys and features, accelerating setup and operation.

EMI Measurement Options

With the optional EMI filter activation, the GSP-8000 supports quasi-peak detection and compliance-oriented EMI testing.

Optional EMI accessories include antennas, DC blocks, LISN solutions, isolation transformers, and transient limiters to support conducted and radiated emission measurements.
