NT-S2020 – Manual Liquid Limit Device
Manual mechanical model equipped with a counter for registering the number of cup blows.
NT-S2120 – Motorized Liquid Limit Device
Motorized model designed to provide a uniform operating speed and improved test repeatability.
NT-S2125 – ASTM Metal Grooving Tool
Metal grooving tool designed for soil sample preparation for liquid limit testing in accordance with the applicable ASTM requirements.
The Liquid Limit Device is used to determine the moisture content at which a clay soil changes from a plastic state to a liquid state. The liquid limit is defined as the moisture content at which the two parts of a soil sample, separated by a standardized groove, come together over a specified distance after 25 blows of the cup, following a standardized testing procedure.
The NT-S2000 Series includes manual and motorized liquid limit devices designed for soil characterization testing in laboratories. The equipment is engineered to provide reliable and repeatable test results while complying with the requirements of major international standards.
The manual liquid limit machine is hand-operated and features a mechanical revolution counter mounted on the drive shaft. The counter allows the operator to accurately register the number of blows applied to the liquid limit cup during the test.
The motorized liquid limit device provides a uniform operating speed and improved test repeatability. It consists of a liquid limit machine equipped with a geared motor that provides a consistent operating speed, together with a blow counter.
The complete unit is mounted on a metal plate fitted with rubber feet for improved stability during operation. The motorized model is supplied with a grooving tool and a gauge block.
The NT-S2000 Series is particularly suitable for geotechnical, soil mechanics and materials testing laboratories, as well as educational and technical training institutions. The equipment is used for soil consistency characterization and for evaluating the behavior of fine-grained soils.
